To the S ca. 300 m is an old (abandoned?) limestone quarry. Above the cliff is a continuation of the community at GRAN.43. CR 28/4 is located ca. 120 m W. There are large piles of gravel limestone long both sides of the road.;Open sunny limestone cliff on W facing slope. There are a few small ledges along the cliff. These are home to gnarled eastern red cedar and yellow nailwort. However most of the face is sheer with moss and lichen cover dominating. The cliff appears highly erodable with small flow channels worn on the face and several areas sloughing off exposing new limestone with little if any vascular or non-vascular plant growth.
Representativeness
Linear band of exposed limestone cliff. Plot was sampled from both the top and bottom of cliff. Undersampled type due to rarity. There are similar exposures in Smokehole.
